Who hasn't had this happen to them in their garden?  Sometimes rabbits can be too friendly as they munch on your favorite plants.  The photographer captured this bunny in the "act."

Red-tailed Hawk

Of all the birds of prey, the Red-tailed Hawk is my favorite. It is the most common species of hawk in my area (northern Maryland), allowing more sightings. This particular hawk, Ranger by name, is a captive bird owned by the county parks service and used in the local wildlife education program.

Chicory

Some regard this common wildflower as just another weed. It's beauty is so often overlooked. ' Blue as the innocent eyes of a six year old' wrote Hal Borland in his book, A Countryman's Flowers. Early colonists imported chicory from the Old World, turning it into a popular beverage.
